Day Nein...

Day 9 kinda started grand, we just got up in our savage room showered had breakfast and headed out for our free walking tour at 11. The plan was always to just get to the tour then wing it from there. Its a pretty good way to meet English speaking people.

The tour was good, we saw many of the main sights in Hamburg and heard some stories from Hamburgs history. The guide was banterous. We met an English guy and girl and a Canadian guy who we bailed off with after to get food. I went for the turkey Snitzel, which was good stuff. Before we headed back to the hostel.

At this stage me and Lorcan were discussing alternatives to spending that night in Hamburg, the city isn't very nice and our hostel is kinda far away. However none of these plans came to fruition, instead we asked the Canadian guy to stand by Lorcan as he checked in so we looked older. It worked pretty well and because of that we were staying in a dorm that night. Thank god.

We basically then hit the kitchen for some food where we met a bunch of English lads from Leeds. At 18 they were the youngest people we had met yet and were coming to the end of their trip. We quickly nicknamed them Macfly, The Jonas Brothers (two of them) and Fritz. We bantered around for a few hours before heading out the red light district.

It was unpleasant, horrible and I never really want to go again.
